Phenix City, Ala.—Recognizing commitment to growing and improving their community, the East Alabama Chamber of Commerce presented AlaTrade with the 2022 Economic Development Award at the annual meeting, which was held on Tuesday, January 31, 2023.
Steve Pelham, the Associate Vice President for Economic Development at Auburn University, was the keynote speaker, and during the meeting, several businesses were recognized for awards, including AlaTrade.
The Economic Development Award is presented annually to a company with more than 50 employees that has made a significant impact in the East Alabama region through job creation and investment in the community, infrastructure, expansion, and renovation. The award is a recognition of commitment to the East Alabama community and readiness to act when called upon.
This is not the first award presented to AlaTrade from a local chamber of commerce. At the Albertville Chamber of Commerce’s 67th Annual Awards Banquet and Membership Meeting, AlaTrade was recognized as the 2021 Industry of the Year.
